ABOUT ME
In 1986 I bought a van and an etching press. 31 years later I am on my 4th van and have shown my work across the country.
As a self taught painter and anchored in symbolism, I hope to push parameters while reserving a consistent spiritual connection. My intention is to translate my personal viewpoint into positive symbolic images, and engage the viewer.
In 2006 I added jewelry, specifically fabricated silver, to my mediums. Penland School of Craft offered an 8 week intense workshop which gave me the courage to dive directly into fabricating jewelry.
I have been involved with art for over 40 years. As an artist I have had my own gallery, directed a gallery, helped produce major wholesale shows for artists, been an artist in residence at The Greenbrier, and won numerous awards.
I love the feeling when I am so caught up with creating that I lose time.
I love being an artist.
